Echoes Along the Shoreline
Tidal waves sometimes bring seawater far inland; at times, in certain places, it even reaches the edge of human habitation. Sometimes it arrives like the dance of a girl to the jingle of a flute, and at other times it roars like a lion. When the tide goes out, it leaves marks on the sand like a garland left behind at the moment of farewell. The soft sand holds these impressions in its heart with utmost care until the next wave arrives.

At times, human footprints—broken or complete—and the tracks of bicycle tires on the sand add a different dimension. Everything becomes more enchanting in the reddish-golden light of sunrise and sunset. This is an attempt to capture some of that on camera.
The photographs were taken at Mandarmoni and Talsari Beach.
