The Heart of Braj

Holi in Vrindavan and Mathura isn’t just a date on the calendar. It’s a centuries-old heartbeat. These photos capture the soul of Braj—a place where the line between the divine and the everyday simply disappears.

We worship Krishna as God, but here, he is remembered as the friend who walked these same streets. He laughed with people, teased them, and carried their worries without judgment. You see this human thread everywhere: in the weathered face of a Sadhu singing with his iktara, or the chaos of a packed temple courtyard.

Photo Story: Celebrating Vibrant Holi at Vrindavan

When the gulal rises, something inside us softens. Pride fades. Old hurts feel lighter. In these lanes, color isn’t just decoration—it’s surrender. It’s a way of saying, “See me as I am, imperfect and still loved.” This is a celebration of belonging. In the heart of Braj, we are all just children playing in the colors of love.
