thespace.ink has collaborated with ‘Word Munchers’, a creative writing platform that trains and encourages kids and youngsters to hone their creative writing skills. thespace.ink will be publishing two short essays by students of ‘Word Munchers’ every Saturday.
On New Year’s Eve, my family and I along with friends, went to Vedic Village. I was thrilled about our short but fun-filled trip. I helped my parents do all the packing. I made sure I carried enough games to keep us entertained. Ours was an overnight trip. On New Year’s Eve I woke up early out of excitement and got ready without any help so that we could leave as soon as possible. It was a two hours drive. As soon as we checked in, I went out with my friends for outdoor games like cycling, cricket, tennis and archery. We took a short break and then got ready for the New Year Party. There was loud music, dance, a magic show, disco lights and fireworks which was a completely new experience to me. We stayed there till late and enjoyed ourselves. Before sleeping I shared my New Year resolution with my parents that I will work harder in all my classes. I thoroughly enjoyed the outing and look forward to many more such experiences.
