A single flower peeked out of the snow. The chilled wind beat down upon it and tiny fragments of snow twirled around it like a whirlwind. Still, it stood. White powdery snow dusted its petals. To be honest, the flower wasn’t anything special, just a tiny flicker of flame in the midst of a storm. But if you looked closer you could see the magic driving, the power of life coursing through its veins. A sudden gale of wind swept upon it. Slowly, fraction by fraction the thin layer of snow beside it was swept away into the dance of the wind.  Immediately a cacophony of colors started to sing its chorus.

This garden had belonged to an old couple but they had passed away. Now it grew free, in chaos as it strove to survive by itself. The wind had uncovered the rest of the garden. Every single glimmer of life underneath that snow had wanted to stretch towards the sky, to scream out loud that it was here, it was alive and now they were free, they were free to fly. Every single color blurred together into a myriad of beauty. The scent of each flower intermingled to produce an exquisite fragrance that can’t be described in mere words.

Little bursts of green sprouted between them. They stood out in an odd way, but gave the flowers a sort of imperfection that made it all seem real. Everything here grew rampant, free of any restraint. The flowers stood out in stark contrast to the inky blackness of the night. They looked like jewels that fell onto the earth to give this stark black and white scenery color and light. Even though the King of Snow ruled this garden, he could not oppress these flowers, because sometimes, there can be beauty in chaos.
