Sundarbans, the world’s largest mangrove forest is covered with Sundari Trees all around. Hence the name SUNDARBAN (SUNDAR – Beautiful and BAN – Forest). And I believe no one could have given a better name for this majestic piece of delta that lies in the coast of Bay of Bengal. Every time I visit the Sundarbans; I fall in love with it a little more than earlier. Photographing that beautiful sunrise, mesmerizing beauty, tough natural habitat and breathtaking wildlife living in that mysterious land makes it a place worth visiting again and again for photographers like me.

Whenever I meet the local inhabitants, there are always some new stories to be unfolded. Whether the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger interaction with human or the thrilling life story of the honey collectors. Their faith in Banabibi (forest goddess and guardian spirit of the Sundarbans) is what keeps them alive I believe and my association with Sundarbans is one romantic incident of my life.
