Solang  valley, lying secluded only 14 km from the hustle bustle of the famous tourist town of Manali, turns into a wonderland during winter. Though a few visit on a day trip, staying there for a night or two brings you closer to pristine snowy nature and feel the warm of nature’s love for her creations. Days are cold and nights chilly, yet it’s a bliss to the eyes which brave them and venture into the white landscape.  A few hotels caters to those few tourists who tend to prefer nature more than comfort. Mornings start with locals from the higher villages bringing in their horses and sledges for all the fun activity on the snowy slopes of the turned-white mountains, where horse-riding, paragliding, skiing opportunities galore. Setting sun turns the white wonderland into warm hues gradually sliding into the cool blues of the night. And for those out in the chilly nights, sky full of stars and milky way welcomes you with twinkles or moonlight presents different shades of white kaleidoscope of ultimate landscapes.
