Lights and shadow are two sides of the same coin, they add a charm to life. Light can be beautiful and enchanting but too much light can also be blinding. Sometimes it is fun to look at the various shapes formed by shadows but they can also look very horrifying and daunting. In monsoon when we have a dark, gloomy sky and clouds cast a shadow on the city, we desperately crave for a ray of sunlight. In summers, when the sun illuminates everything around us we find comfort in the shade . Similarly, when life puts us in a spotlight we find comfort in the solitude of the shadows and when the dark corners get too lonely we yearn for companionship.
Like the shadows from a colourful umbrella enhances the beauty of a woman and brings out the sparkle in her eyes, the shadows or hardships of our lives illuminate our paths for the future. As our eyes get so caught by the light, we forget that the shadows have a story to tell us. We so often focus on only the successes in someone else’s life that we often forget that their hardships teach us life lessons that make the successes possible.
