An Unforgettable Incident with My Friend

Once when I was playing at the park outside my house with my friend Aarav, we spotted a dog. It was black in colour and did not have a collar, so we knew that it was not a pet dog. We thought that it was cute and decided to pet it. Little did we know, it was dangerous.

The dog started barking and Aarav and I got scared and stepped back. Initially we thought it was scared of us. Since we both loved pets we decided to try and comfort it by petting it a bit more. We even tried to give him biscuits which were in our tiffin. This time, it did not bark but what he did was even worse. It quickly tilted its head to the side and tried biting Aarav. I got very upset and this scared us a lot. Immediately I called my mother for help. When she came, we told her what had happened and she tried to calm the dog down, but it started barking even more loudly before settling down.

For a while, it just sat there but suddenly a few seconds later it started running towards us. Being scared, Aarav and I ran to the side but that just angered the dog even more. It started chasing us and we ran as fast as we could but could not outrun it. My mother quickly stepped in and tried shielding us from the dog. But unfortunately that did not work. I was worried about Aarav as his mother was not with us and was feeling bad for him. My mother pushed us into our grilled balcony to save us from being bitten by the dog. Then my mother had only one option left and that was to call a captor, so she took out her phone and quickly called them. They arrived in about fifteen minutes and lured the dog into a cage and put it in their van.

This was truly a memorable incident with a stray dog which my friend and I remember to this day. I hope that nothing like this ever happens to me again. Since that day we are careful when we come across stray dogs and try to maintain a safe distance.
