Adoor Gopalakrishnan: Birthday Tribute

Adoor Gopalakrishnan is one of India’s most celebrated filmmakers and a pioneer of the Malayalam New Wave cinema movement. Emerging in the 1970s, he transformed Indian parallel cinema with his thoughtful storytelling, visual precision, and deep exploration of human relationships. Across a career spanning more than five decades, he has directed twelve feature films, many of which have received national and international acclaim.
