Aruni Kashyap talks about his new book of poetry, There is no Good Time for Bad News in this episode titled Poetry Speaks Resistance. His poems represent marginalized voices, voices haunted by insurgency, displacement and war. In this episode, Kashyap also discusses importance of postcolonial oral cultures, the problematic categorization of being a writer representing the “North East”. Amrita Ghosh has a PhD in literature and postcolonial Studies, and a postdoc from a Linnaeus University, Sweden. She is currently a visiting researcher at Lund University, South Asia center, SASNET and is finishing two books on Kashmir, and Tagore-Yeats, and a new co-written project on India’s Culture Industries is under contract with a university press.
