Poem: Seeking Answers

I Try to hide behind the dark curtains of indifference/But can’t avoid the loving caress of the dying sun’s rays…

I Try to hide behind the dark curtains of indifference
But can’t avoid the loving caress of the dying sun’s rays
Though the sky eventually loses faith and turns muddy
My heart’s a little girl on her knees— it resolutely prays
I now know life is never going to be the same, and yet
My soul promises otherwise, has so much more to say…

Every night you visit my place and knock on the closed door
My mind fervently tries to get rid of all your fond memories
Scattering ashes all around,
I embrace the silence once more
Seek the answers you left in your wake, those amazing discoveries.
