Once upon a time, there was a girl named Cinderella who used to live with her stepmother and stepsisters. She was a very pretty girl and a gem of a person. She had a dream to become a pop-singer someday.

Her stepsisters made her do all the household chores and gave her some ugly old clothing, bought from a thrift store. Cindy used to love singing while working, and daydreaming about being a pop-singer. She kept humming all the time, ‘Ahh! The dream life!’ she thought to herself.

One night, on the news telecast, it was announced that a singing competition would be held the following day. Cindy was full of enthusiasm, and had a great desire to participate in this event, as it could help her achieve her dream. But she didn’t have the courage to ask for permission to participate in the singing competition.

Cinderella’s stepsisters too wanted to participate, but their voices weren’t as sweet as Cindy’s. Actually their voices weren’t sweet at all! Then, Cindy, gathering up courage, asked her stepmother if she could participate, and as an answer- she got a big fat ‘NO!’. Cinderella was in tears and she ran to her room, sobbing.

When the clock struck 12, the room filled with glitter and fog, Cindy wiping her tears was amazed to see a fairy in front of her. She changed her rags into a dazzling sequin outfit. While handing her a shining pair of sneakers, the fairy smiled and said ‘Don’t worry dearie, go and fulfil your aspirations and dreams. Your stepmother and sisters won’t wake up till the results are out.’ The fairy added ‘I need to go now, Bye!’

The next day was Cindy’s big day. She gave the best performance of her life. Cindy’s talent was recognised and she was the winner of the competition!!!

Cindy, a talented pop star, had risen from the darkness and began her new journey. Finally, her stepmother and stepsisters realised their mistakes and asked for forgiveness and they stayed together happily.
