Photo story: Ajanta Caves

The Ajanta Caves located in Maharashtra are a cluster of Buddhist cave temples that date back to the 2nd century BCE. Known for their stunning frescos and sculptures, these caves are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. According to Buddhist texts, these caves were used by monks as a monsoon retreat. It is one of the major tourist attractions of Maharashtra and is located 360 kilometres of Mumbai.
