Nature, through its varied forms and colours have been an element of attraction for everyone irrespective of any specific forms. Chilika, in this context serves as a reflection of serenity and divine pleasures through its picturesque landscapes and abstract forms that are deeply enhanced through the viewing of the natural objects.
From the end of November, snowfall season begins, lasting until April. Between April and November, it still experiences occasional snowfall and flurries. Periodic rain with high winds makes the weather inclement and temperatures drop below freezing, often reaching well below twenty degrees in Celsius.

On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, various festivals are celebrated in different districts of Bengal like Purulia, Bankura and Birbhum in the name of Tusu Parab which is mainly the festival of crops. Throughout the month women and girls participate in this puja. On this day (Sankranti ) girls decorate the Chowdol with Tusu and immerse their adorable Tusu at nearby ponds or river.
Gangasagar Mela is one of the largest and oldest annual congregations of mankind. The event has fascinated the pious Hindus since the days of the Mahabharata. Even during my first visit to the fair about fifteen years ago, I realised that very few things epitomize India as quintessentially as the Gangasagar Mela.
As the winter dawn graces Kolkata, Maidan transforms into a tranquil haven. Horses roam gracefully, their silhouettes blending with the muted hues of the morning sky. Dew-kissed grass glimmers in the feeble sunlight, evoking a bygone era’s charm.
The Christmas market at Marienplatz, the heart of Munich, can be dated back to the fourteenth century. Unlike its competitors, it still retains a traditional flavor. From the end of November to Christmas Eve, the place transforms into a winter festival ground. With green roofs and red interiors, the hundreds of neatly decorated stalls look resplendent. Although Bavarian customs, craft, and cuisine rule the roost, you can also find crepes and waffles.
