Susanna Lee is a Professor in the Department of French and Francophone Studies and Director of the Comparative Literature program at Georgetown University. Her research interests include the nineteenth-century French novel, twentieth-century crime fiction, popular culture, and literary theory. She is the author of “A World Abandoned by God: Narrative and Secularism” (Bucknell University Press, 2006) and “Hard-Boiled Crime Fiction and the Decline of Moral Authority” (Ohio State University Press, 2016).
