Nawab Wajid Ali Shah is still deemed as the one and only ‘Artist- Nawab’ in Indian political history. The great film maker Satyajit Ray was extremely fascinated by the versatile’ mijaz ‘ of Nawab Wazid Ali Shah and made the film “Shatranj ki khiladi” touching upon Wazid Ali Shah’s life which is still considered a mile stone in the history of political metafiction.
